Attention: we have puffed our buckwheat. Yes, you read that right: our organic pseudo-cereal is eerily similar to popcorn - at least optically. The taste brings a nutty note that enchants the palate. How about some muesli with puffed buckwheat and some dried fruit? Get your bag of puffed organic buckwheat now! Buckwheat - a wheat without wheat At a first glance, buckwheat seems to be a type of wheat, but that is not the case! Buckwheat actually does not have much in common with our usual wheat-cereals. Just like amaranth and quinoa, buckwheat is part of the so-called pseudo-cereals. Its peeled form looks very similar to wheat grain, but that's about the only similarity you will find. You will find countless buckwheat products in our shop. Along with our sprouted buckwheat pasta, buckwheat flakes and buckwheat oats we had to add a puffed version to our selection. And as you probably know by now, we don't just offer any puffed buckwheat: our triangular seeds are made with no additives. W

Buckwheat

Buckwheat seeds have a greenish to beige coloration, and in shape they remind tiny pyramids. They are perfect to sprout, added to your porridge, and fit deliciously in a variety of recipes.

Buckwheat originally comes from Asia; arrived in Europe in the early Middle Ages, buckwheat has a short period of growth and thrives on lean soil, but is sensitive to cold. It has been a staple of Eastern European cuisine since ancient times, and Russia is the first documented country to have cultivated buckwheat. In 2017, 3.8 million tons of buckwheat were harvested worldwide. China is the largest producer of buckwheat, followed closely by Russia.

Questions & answers: Organic puffed buckwheat 350g
No search results.
First and foremost, a balanced diet is healthy. Of course, you should make sure that you take enough vitamins and minerals. Our puffed buckwheat provides variety in the kitchen and is therefore definitely not a bad choice!
But logical - we put our hands in the fire! Our grains come from organic cultivation: really organic!
Buckwheat is one of the so-called pseudo cereals and is naturally gluten-free. However, cross-contamination with gluten may have occurred in the manufacturing process - which is why we do not describe our buckwheat as gluten-free. For people with celiac disease, the pseudocereal is therefore not suitable.
Puffed grains have a very low weight and are easy to chew. When seeds are puffed, the water contained in the seeds evaporates explosively due to a sudden reduction in pressure. The hot, swollen starch of the grains thereby foams to many times its original volume and solidifies in this state.
No - we have not! The product is made from 100% buckwheat, completely without additives.
Buckwheat is a real all-round talent! Whether for savory or sweet cuisine - buckwheat always goes! The puffed version is perfect in muesli, as a topping for your smoothie bowl or as a base for homemade energy bars. And if you need inspiration, check out our recipes.
The puffed version gives our buckwheat an airy, light texture and at the same time a crunchy bite. In general, buckwheat has a nutty note that can be transferred to the puffed variety.
Since we do not use any additives, our puffed buckwheat is low in fat (1.3 g fat per 100 g, of which 0.3 g saturated fatty acids). It contains few saturated fatty acids and therefore offers you a light and easy snacking fun! All further information about the nutritional values and calories can be found next to or below our product description.

Goes well over muesli.

I wanted to try the puffed buckwheat for my muesli, it is light and airy, tastes slightly nutty and is not sweetened. Simply perfect!

Great with yogurt

I am always surprised how much flavor the different "Pops, Puffs & Flakes" have if you don't bury them under sugar. Hard to describe, kind of nutty.

We have been ordering for a long time and will continue to do so!

Great quality, the taste is convincing anyway, but I like buckwheat anyway. We like to use it as an ingredient in our homemade granola with Koro maple syrup. :)
