Hi hemp: History & origin of the hemp plant

The roots of the hemp plant reach as far as Asia. Here it is considered one of the oldest cultivated plants. Already in earlier times, the plant had various uses: the hemp seeds were eaten and the fibres were used for the production of ship ropes, and later also for clothing or paper. It was also particularly popular as a medicinal plant. Cannabis leaves were probably put on the wounds of warriors to alleviate gout and absent-mindedness. Despite all the controversies associated with this complex issue, hemp is still used today in some countries for pain therapy in medicine. Because of the cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) contained in the plant, it can send the human psyche into intoxicated states, which is why its cultivation and sale were completely banned in Europe for a long time. However, hemp whose leaves are not used for the production of hashish or marijuana can be consumed without hesitation. Because: Here, the THC was almost completely broken down during cultivation.

Production of the hemp - date spread

The hemp seeds are first processed into a kind of tofu, which is then combined with dates, herbs and spices to make a tasty spread. You're probably wondering what hemp tofu is, aren't you? The short version of how it is made: hemp seeds are soaked over a long period of time, heated in a water bath and finally drained through a sieve. This type of tofu has a more grainy consistency than conventional tofu made from soybeans and crumbles very quickly - so it's perfect for our spread. Among other things, this is then refined with turmeric, which gives it its summery yellow-green colour. With the unique flavour combination of the light sweetness of the dates and the nutty aroma, the spread is an absolute must-have in your pantry. Was ist das Besondere an dem Bio Dattel-Hanfaufstrich von KoRo?

Unser Dattel-Hanfaufstrich kommt aus rein biologischem Anbau, ist vegan und wird auf der Basis von Hanftofu hergestellt. Er eignet sich hervorragend als Brotaufstrich, Hummus-Alternative, aber auch als Basis für Dips und Dressings. Zudem läutet er mit seiner gelben Färbung nicht nur die sonnigen Tage ein, sondern als schmackhafte Ergänzung zu Burgern und Wraps auch die Grillsaison. Mit der einzigartigen Geschmackskombination aus der leichten Süße der Datteln und dem nussig-hanfigen Aroma ist er ein absolutes Must-have in Deinem Vorratsschrank.

Ja, wie der Name bereits verrät, kommt unser Dattel-Hanfaufstrich aus rein biologischem Anbau.

Wie bewahre ich den Bio Dattel-Hanfaufstrich auf und wie lange ist er haltbar?

Unser Bio Dattel-Hanfaufstrich ist in der original verschlossenen Verpackung mindestens 360 Tage vom Zeitpunkt der Produktion an haltbar. Nach dem Öffnen solltest Du den Aufstrich unbedingt im Kühlschrank verstauen und zeitnah verbrauchen.

Wo kommt der Aufstrich her?

Die Wurzeln der Hanfpflanze reichen bis nach Asien. Hier gilt sie als eine der ältesten Kulturpflanzen. Unser Dattel-Hanfaufstrich hat eine weniger weite Reise hinter sich, denn er wird bei unserem Lieferanten in Berlin produziert.

Was ist Hanftofu?

Hanftofu besteht im Grunde lediglich aus Hanfsamen und Trinkwasser, kann allerdings auch noch mit Zitronensaft, Öl und Gewürzen verfeinert werden. Er hat eine gröbere Konsistenz als herkömmlicher Tofu aus Sojabohnen und zerfällt sehr schnell. Daher ist er die perfekte Basis für unseren würzigen Aufstrich.

Ist der Bio Dattel-Hanfaufstrich vegan?

Ja, keine Sorge, wir haben keinerlei tierische Bestandteile in diesem Produkt versteckt – großes KoRo-Ehrenwort. Der Bio Dattel-Hanfaufstrich von KoRo kann also bedenkenlos von Vegetarier:innen und Veganer:innen konsumiert werden.

Darf ich den Dattel-Hanfaufstrich in der Schwangerschaft essen?

Jede Schwangerschaft ist individuell, deswegen geben wir bei KoRo keine konkreten Tipps und Ratschläge dazu. Am besten fragst Du bei solchen Themen bei Deinem Frauenarzt oder Deiner Frauenärztin nach. Allerdings kann Hanf, wenn dessen Blätter nicht für die Herstellung von Haschisch oder Marihuana verwendet werden, in der Regel bedenkenlos verzehrt werden. Denn: Hier wurde das THC bei der Züchtung fast vollständig abgebaut.
