Have you tried buckwheat? If not, then you're missing out! This "cereal" has enchanted us to the point that we are eating it in all sorts of ways - along with the original seeds, we also love the sprouted and the puffed versions of buckwheat and added them all to our selection! And by the way, we'll explain along this description why we put the word cereal in quotation marks. Get your bag of buckwheat now and buy our triangle shaped grains in the best organic quality!

Buckwheat - a wheat without wheat

At a first glance, buckwheat seems to be a type of wheat, but that is not the case! Buckwheat actually does not have much in common with our usual wheat-cereals. Just like amaranth and quinoa, buckwheat is part of the so-called pseudo-cereals. Its peeled form looks very similar to wheat grain, but that's about the only similarity you will find. You should wash the grains thoroughly before using them. Afterwards, buckwheat is cooked in the same way as rice, in a 1:2 ratio. Bring it to a strong boil for the first few minutes, then reduce the heat. After about 15 minutes, your buckwheat is cooked and ready to be enjoyed!

Recipes with buckwheat

Due to its light nutty flavour and crunchy consistency, our buckwheat enriches all types of dishes. Use it to top your favorite salads or as a base for a hearty bowl - you will love this pseudo-cereal! Buckwheat is also a great alternative to oats for your porridge, and it is great for baking as well! Buy our buckwheat now in a convenient 2 kg value pack and benefit from an unbeatable price-quality ratio!

Questions & answers: Organic buckwheat 2kg
No search results.
No way! In the bag you will find 100% buckwheat - nothing else. We even promise you that with a big KoRo word of honor!
You should soak the buckwheat in water for 30-60 minutes in the first step. Then rinse the seeds until the water runs clear. Then water the sprouts two to three times a day. After two to three days, the sprouts are ready to eat and you can use them. If you do not want to eat them right away, make sure to store them in the refrigerator. Please note that not all buckwheat sprouts and therefore we cannot guarantee that it will work. You can find pre-germinated buckwheat in the store.
Yes, this is possible in principle. However, due to individual fluctuations, we cannot guarantee that it will actually germinate in the end. The rule here is: The proof of the pudding is in the eating! But do not worry, we have of course also germinated organic buckwheat in the store.
But logical - we put our hands in the fire! Our grains come from organic cultivation: really organic!
Buckwheat is a real all-round talent! Whether for savory or sweet cuisine - buckwheat always goes! Apart from the extra taste, the sprouts also look great! In addition, our buckwheat can also be ground into flour. From it you can conjure up pancakes, blinis or the like. But also in casseroles, as a side dish or roasted as "Kasha" buckwheat is very popular. And if you need inspiration, check out our recipes.
Before preparation, you should thoroughly wash the pseudocereal. Then boil the buckwheat in a ratio of 1:2 with water (or vegetable broth to taste). Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat. After about 15 minutes the buckwheat is cooked and can be eaten!
Buckwheat belongs to the so-called pseudo cereals and they are naturally gluten-free. However, cross-contamination with gluten can occur during our filling process - which is why we do not describe our buckwheat as gluten-free. For people with celiac disease, the pseudocereal is therefore not suitable.

Perfectly germinated buckwheat. Great quality.

A very good buckwheat, because it germinates incredibly quickly. This is a sign of the best quality.

Unfortunately not suitable for allergy sufferers or for people with celiac disease

Unfortunately, I can not confirm good quality. It is indeed stated on the package that foreign grain, etc. may be included, but here it is actually strikingly much. Therefore, the buckwheat is not suitable for people with allergies or celiac disease. But also otherwise the buckwheat is not of any special quality. The grains are very small and often dried up, some even spoiled. Too bad!

Excellent product

This product is also never missing from my pantry, it has a stronger flavor than rice or millet or oats, but I appreciate it very much all the same, in fact I like the flavors a bit more "rustic," plus it is a gluten-free (pseudo-)cereal with a low glycemic index compared to others.
I use it both as an alternative to pasta and as a base for making my own yeast-free bread, to which I add various chopped seeds and pumpkin seed powder that gives it a nutty flavor.
